The status board and runway

How Lapsewise's runway (everything due next) and drag-and-drop status board (Active, Expiring soon, Action needed, Renewed) keep renewals on track.

The status board and runway

Lapsewise gives you two complementary views of everything you track, across all seven modules, in one place.

The runway

The runway lists every record sorted by what's due next. A safety certificate, a vendor contract, and a grant milestone all appear together, ordered by their key date — so the next thing demanding attention is always at the top. No tool-switching, no per-module hunting.

Use the runway as your daily/weekly "what's coming" view.

The status board

The status board is a drag-and-drop board with four columns:

  • Active — handled, not due soon.
  • Expiring soon — inside the warning window; reminders are firing.
  • Action needed — something must be done now (renew, cancel, re-certify).
  • Renewed — dealt with for this cycle.

Drag a record between columns as you work it. The board gives the whole team a shared, at-a-glance picture of where everything stands.

How they work together

  • The runway answers "what's next?"
  • The board answers "what state is everything in?"
  • Reminders (email/SMS/Slack) make sure nothing relies on someone remembering to check.

Tips

  • Triage on the board: move anything in Action needed first.
  • After renewing or cancelling, drag the record to Renewed so it leaves your active view until the next cycle.
  • Assign owners so each person can filter to what's theirs.

FAQ

Do both views show all modules? Yes — the whole point is one combined view across certificates, contracts, grants, licenses, insurance, warranties, and memberships.

Does moving a card change the dates? No — the board reflects status; the key dates and reminders are set on the record itself.
