Board
Move records through review stages while keeping deadline urgency visible.
On this page
Purpose: Track review work for each record.
Board contains one card per record. Its columns represent work progress:
| Column | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Not started | No review work has been recorded yet. | A newly added policy awaiting review. |
| Reviewing | Someone is actively checking the record or preparing a decision. | Comparing a renewal quote with the current agreement. |
| Waiting | Progress depends on a reply, document or other input. | Waiting for an updated insurance policy. |
| Approved | The review has reached approval; another action may still be required. | Renewal approved, but awaiting payment or supplier confirmation. |
| Review complete | The review work is finished. | The reviewer has completed their checks. |
The sequence is a useful workflow, not a mandatory approval process. Cards can move backward or skip a stage when that accurately reflects the work.
Moving and opening cards
- Drag a card into another column with a mouse.
- On a touch screen, hold briefly before dragging.
- Use the card's actions menu to choose a destination without dragging.
- The drag handle also provides a keyboard interaction route.
- Select the record title to open the record.
- Scroll horizontally when all columns do not fit.
The card remains visible as a preview while dragging. Saving progress is shown while the server confirms the update. Card controls have their own space so they do not squeeze the record title.
What does not happen when a card moves?
Moving a card does not change the expiry date, renew the external service, pay a bill, mark every date complete, or approve an externally submitted document.
Date urgency remains visible on the card. A record in Approved can still be overdue. A green date indicator does not mean the record's review has been approved.
Existing records can start in Not started because they did not previously have review progress recorded. That does not mean all those records are urgent.
Best use
Use Board during team reviews to identify bottlenecks: too much work in Reviewing, unanswered requests in Waiting, or approved renewals that still need execution. Agree on what Approved and Review complete mean for your team.
