  1. New

AI document parsing is built in on Pro, with your own key as an option

Pro workspaces can now drop a PDF or image on a record and let Lapsewise read the dates, title and reference number without adding an API key first. Pro includes 300 parsed documents a month on our own key, and Free workspaces get 5 in total so you can try it before upgrading. If you would rather run parsing on your own Anthropic, OpenAI or Google key, that still works and takes priority over the built-in allowance. The Account page shows how much of the monthly allowance you have used.

One minute explainer video on the home page

The home page now has a short video that shows what Lapsewise does: one calm dashboard for every date that can lapse, and reminders by email, SMS and Slack before it does. It plays in the page with captions and a poster frame, and the hero button scrolls down to it.

Getting started video guide, and the docs rewritten to match the app

There is a new getting started page with a 3 minute 39 second walkthrough recorded in the real app: sign up, pick your modules, invite your team, add records by hand or from a document, set reminders, import a spreadsheet and export a report. The chapter list under the player jumps straight to each step. We also rewrote the docs for views, reminders, SMS, Slack, team roles, notice periods and analytics so they describe the current app, and added guides for the five newest modules.

  4. Fixed

The welcome screen did not save the workspace name or modules

The welcome screen that shipped on Sep 3 did not save the workspace name or module choices, and a workspace with no records was sent back to it on the next visit. The update ran under a database policy that silently matched no rows. It now saves correctly and fails loudly if it cannot. If you set up a workspace between Sep 3 and Sep 5, open Account and check that the name and modules are what you chose.

  5. New

    Cost of Lapsing survey

The survey asks what a missed renewal cost your business, in ten short questions, one per screen, and the two questions about consequences only appear if something actually went wrong. Answers feed a public report we will publish once there are enough responses, and you can ask for a copy at the end.

  6. Fixed

Excel dates imported one day early

Dates stored as Excel serial numbers arrived one day before the date in the sheet, because the 1900 leap year quirk was corrected twice. We verified the fix against a hand-built workbook. In the same pass the importer stopped treating a ragged data row as the header row, and an issue or start date can no longer be picked as the key date by mistake. Records imported before this fix keep the date they were given, so check anything you brought in from an Excel file that week.

  7. New

Import Excel workbooks directly, for all 12 modules, with reminders to several people

The importer now reads .xlsx files directly, including multi-sheet workbooks and sheets with a title row above the table, so you no longer have to save as CSV first. Module cells accept the words people actually type, like "Licenses" or "Insurance Policy", and a new issued or start date column means a license with both an issue and an expiry date keeps both. People named in the file are reused instead of duplicated, ambiguous day and month order is asked about in the preview, and anything a module cannot hold is reported rather than dropped. Records can also have watchers now: each watcher gets their own reminders in their own timezone, set from the record panel or a watchers column in the import.

Every module page shows the actual product view for that module

The 25 module and solution pages used to share two screenshots. Each one now renders a real view from the app, such as the runway board, a record detail, the calendar, the table or a report, filled with data that matches the page, plus the reminder you would receive. The mockups follow your light or dark theme and load without JavaScript.

  9. Improved

Add form gets a native date picker and a second date; a round of dashboard fixes

The add form now uses a native date picker with the +1y and +90d presets kept, and a toggle brings back the typed shortcut parser for keyboard users. Certificate-like modules get an optional issued date and contract-like ones a start date. Recurring fees take a billing period, and contract types no longer list insurance policies or leases since those are modules of their own. We also fixed notes that were sent but never saved, calendar days that were one off east of UTC, the timeline today line that sat at the left edge, and failed saves in the record panel that were swallowed instead of shown.

  10. New

A welcome screen for new workspaces and a getting started checklist

A brand new workspace now opens on a one-time welcome screen: name the workspace, switch on the trackers you need out of the 12, and optionally add an example record so the runway and board are not empty. While a workspace has fewer than five records of its own, the All records board shows a checklist: first record, reminder schedule, invite a teammate, Slack or SMS. Empty states now say what the board tracks, and the view you pick is remembered.

  11. Pricing

Pricing is now Free or Pro at $29 a month or $290 a year for up to 20 users

Pricing is now two plans. Free stays as it was: one user, five records and email reminders. Pro is $29 a month or $290 a year, flat per workspace for up to 20 users, and includes everything: all 12 modules, CSV and Excel import, AI parsing, SMS through your own Twilio, Slack reminders and analytics. The Starter and Enterprise cards are gone. Anyone already on Starter keeps their price and gets Pro features, and teams that need more than 20 seats or SSO can contact us. Prices exclude VAT.

  12. New

Mark as renewed, and auto-renew on every record type

Expiring and overdue records now show a Mark as renewed panel with the date prefilled to one year out, so rolling a renewal forward is one click. The auto-renew toggle is available on every record type, not just contracts, and records with it on advance their key date by twelve months automatically once they pass. Analytics also convert costs in mixed currencies into your workspace currency using ECB rates, so the annual renewal cost is one number.

  13. New

Choose your own reminder schedule per workspace

Admins can set the reminder cascade in Account under Workspace: add a 90 day touch, trim it to 30, 7 and 0 days, or keep the default of 60, 30, 7 and 0 days before each date. Changing it reschedules every future reminder in the workspace that has not been sent yet.

Domains, Inspections, Permits, Leases and Employee Docs modules, plus domain expiry lookup

Domains, Inspections, Permits, Leases and Employee Docs join the seven existing modules. Leases behave like contracts, with auto-renew and notice windows for break clauses. Each module has its own types, labels and reminder wording, and all of them work with CSV import and AI parsing. In the Domains module you can type a domain name and fetch its registry expiry date, registrar and live SSL certificate end date in one click. From Jul 15 all 12 modules are available on every plan.

Analytics dashboard with branded PDF and CSV export on Pro

Pro workspaces get an Analytics page: a period switcher for month, quarter, half year or year, a KPI strip, spend by module, an upcoming cost forecast, renewal volume over time and status breakdowns. Everything exports to CSV or to a PDF that carries your workspace logo, which you can upload in Account under Workspace. On the same day we added Insurance, Warranties and Memberships as modules.
