Runway
Prioritise open deadlines, see the responsible person and decide the next action.
On this page
Purpose: A working list of upcoming and overdue obligations, ordered by urgency.
Runway shows open deadlines rather than just one row per record. If a contract has a notice deadline and a later renewal date, both can appear.
What the user sees
The summary buttons show:
- Overdue dates.
- Dates due within 7 days.
- Dates due within 30 days.
- Records with reminder issues.
The 7-day and 30-day counts overlap: a date due tomorrow is included in both. They should not be added together as separate totals.
Clicking a summary applies a relevant filter. When there are no overdue dates or deadlines due within 30 days, Runway states that directly. This says something about the recorded deadlines in the current scope; it does not certify every document or obligation as complete.
Dates are grouped into Overdue, Next 7 days, 8–30 days, 31–90 days and Later. Nonempty upcoming groups are open by default. If every visible date is more than 90 days away, the first available group opens. Group headers preview their earliest record and date, so a collapsed group still provides context.
Each item includes the record title, date and type, time remaining or overdue, responsible person, suggested next action, module badge and relevant acknowledgement or reminder-pause information.
Next actions reflect the recorded situation. A reminder problem, missing owner or submitted document may need attention first. A domain without a supporting file is not automatically told to collect paperwork: its normal next step can be to check renewal settings and confirm the date with the provider. Recorded review progress can change the suggestion to following up or confirming completion.
Document reviews and setup checks sits below the deadline list. It helps locate documents awaiting review and records missing an owner, open date or supporting document.
Best use
Use Runway at the start of the day or in a short weekly deadline meeting. Open the most urgent item, check who is handling it, and decide the next real action.
