Affiliate Program Terms

1. Joining the program

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement. Provide accurate registration and payout information and keep your affiliate account secure. If you join on behalf of a business, you must be authorized to represent it.

You participate as an independent affiliate. You cannot enter agreements, make guarantees, or incur expenses on behalf of Lapsewise. Participation does not guarantee earnings.

2. Qualifying referrals

Use the referral links and, where enabled, promotional codes assigned to you in the affiliate portal. A qualifying referral is a new paying customer whose purchase is attributed to you through the program's tracking system.

Referral links depend on the customer's tracking choice, browser, and cookie availability. The cookie window shown in your campaign governs link attribution; it is separate from the commission period. Codes must be applied to the relevant purchase at checkout. We cannot guarantee automatic tracking across browsers or devices. If you believe a referral is missing or incorrectly assigned, contact us with the relevant details so we can investigate without exposing unnecessary customer information.

Your own purchases, purchases for a business you own or control, and artificial, duplicate, or fraudulent referrals do not qualify. Free registrations, unpaid invoices, and failed payments do not generate commission.

3. Commissions

Your commission rate, eligible plans, commission period, and any limits are those presented in your affiliate campaign. Commissions arise from qualifying customer payments successfully collected and attributed to you. A recurring commission applies only to qualifying payments within the agreed commission period. A lifetime recurring offer means the qualifying customer's paid subscription lifetime, not guaranteed earnings for a fixed number of years.

Refunds, partial refunds, and reversed or fraudulent payments reduce or cancel the associated commission. If an affected commission has already been paid, we may offset the corresponding adjustment against future commissions and will make the reason available to you. Contact us if you dispute an adjustment.

4. Payouts

The payout currency, minimum balance, and payout schedule shown in your campaign apply. Balances below the minimum carry forward. You must provide valid details for a supported payout method and any reasonably required tax or identity information. You are responsible for your own tax obligations.

We may temporarily hold a disputed commission while investigating a refund, chargeback, suspected fraud, or an attribution error. We will explain the reason and aim to resolve it promptly. Unrelated, undisputed commissions remain payable under the normal schedule. We will notify you of any material payout delay.

5. Honest promotion and disclosure

Make it clear, close to each recommendation or referral link, that you may earn a commission. Use an understandable disclosure appropriate to the format, such as: "I may earn a commission if you purchase through this link." Follow the advertising, privacy, and marketing rules applicable to your audience and the platform you use.

Describe Lapsewise accurately. Do not invent product capabilities, testimonials, discounts, or guarantees. In particular, do not promise that Lapsewise guarantees legal compliance or that a customer can never miss a deadline.

Do not send unsolicited bulk messages, impersonate Lapsewise, create misleading websites or accounts, place referral cookies without a genuine user action and the required consent, or manipulate attribution. Do not bid on Lapsewise brand keywords or operate coupon-listing or cashback promotions for the program without our written permission. Use only discounts issued or approved for your campaign.

6. Brand materials and customer information

You may use the Lapsewise name and approved promotional materials to promote the program while participating. We retain ownership of those materials. Do not alter them in a misleading way or imply that your website or business is operated by us.

Use customer information made available through the portal only to administer or resolve your referrals. Do not sell it, add customers to marketing lists, or contact them without a separate lawful basis. Protect access to that information. 7. Changes and ending participation

Either party may end participation by written notice. We may suspend participation immediately where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, unlawful promotion, or a material breach. We will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to respond where appropriate.

On ending participation, stop using affiliate links and promotional materials to generate new referrals. Valid commissions already earned remain payable, including a final balance below the normal minimum, subject to refunds, reversals, and valid payout information. Ending the program or ordinary participation does not by itself cancel the agreed recurring entitlement for existing qualifying referrals. Referrals obtained through fraud or a material breach do not qualify.

We will give at least 30 days' notice of material changes to these terms or campaign economics. Less favorable commission changes apply to new referrals after the stated effective date and do not retroactively reduce valid earned commissions or agreed recurring entitlements for existing qualifying referrals.

8. Governing law and contact

Swedish law governs these terms, subject to rights and protections that cannot lawfully be excluded. The parties will first try to resolve disputes by contacting hello@lapsewise.com. Unresolved disputes are subject to the competent Swedish courts, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
